1. Who we are

Hourfolio is provided by Individual Entrepreneur Danylo Klymov (Ukrainian: Фізична особа-підприємець Климов Данило Віталійович), registered at 45 Yuvileinyi Avenue, Apartment 129, Zaporizhzhia, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, 69097, Ukraine ("Hourfolio", "we", "us", or "our"). We are the controller of personal data described in this policy.

Privacy and data-rights contact: support@klymov.dev.

2. Scope and summary

This policy applies to the Hourfolio iOS application and support communications. Hourfolio helps you record work time, organize projects, view summaries, create reports, and set local reminders.

Your time entries, project names, notes, schedule, and preferences are stored on your device and, when iCloud is available, in your private Apple iCloud/CloudKit database. We do not operate an account system, sell personal data, show third-party advertising, or use data for cross-app tracking.

3. Data you create

Hourfolio processes the information you enter, including project names and colors, dates, durations, start and end times, notes, work schedule, reminder settings, language, and onboarding status. The app calculates totals, trends, overtime, and report content from this information.

This content remains under your control. We do not send your time entries, project names, or notes to Firebase Crashlytics or Remote Config.

4. iCloud and Apple services

Hourfolio uses Apple's SwiftData and CloudKit to keep app data on your devices signed in to the same iCloud account. CloudKit may process your Apple account association, device and network information, record identifiers, timestamps, and the app data stored in the private database. We cannot view or access your private CloudKit database through an Hourfolio account because Hourfolio has no separate user account.

If a collaboration or sharing feature is available and you deliberately share a report or accept an iCloud share, Apple may store the shared report, display name, role, request status, and sharing metadata in CloudKit for the participants you select. Exporting or sharing a report through the iOS share sheet sends the content only to the destination you choose.

Apple processes information under its own Privacy Policy.

5. Notifications

With your optional permission, Hourfolio schedules local reminders on your device. Reminder settings are stored with your app settings. Hourfolio does not use remote notifications for advertising.

6. Firebase diagnostics and configuration

Hourfolio uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to understand crashes and improve reliability. Crashlytics may process crash stack traces, relevant technical app state, timestamps, installation and session identifiers, app version, device model, operating-system information, processor architecture, available memory or disk information, and related diagnostics. We do not deliberately attach your time entries, project names, notes, email address, or support-message content to crash reports.

Firebase Remote Config is used for app-availability, update, and App Store link configuration. It may process a Firebase installation identifier, device country and language codes, time zone, operating-system version, app and bundle identifiers, and Firebase SDK information. Hourfolio does not use Firebase Analytics.

Google's information is available at Firebase Privacy and Security and Google Privacy.

7. Support

If you contact support, we receive the email address, subject, message, and attachments you choose to send. If you leave "Include app diagnostics" enabled, the prepared email also includes the Hourfolio version and build, selected app language, iOS version, and device model. It does not automatically include your projects, time entries, or notes.

8. Purposes and legal bases

Where the EU/EEA or UK GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract to provide the app and respond to necessary support; legitimate interests to maintain security, configuration, and reliability using minimized technical information; consent for optional notifications and any user-initiated sharing; and legal obligations where applicable.

9. Service providers and international transfers

We disclose only the information needed for the purposes above to Apple for App Store distribution, iCloud, CloudKit, notifications, and user-initiated sharing; Google for Firebase Crashlytics, Installations, and Remote Config; email providers involved when you contact support; and professional advisers or authorities when required by law.

Providers may process data in Ukraine, the European Economic Area, the United States, and other countries where they operate. Where required, transfers use an adequacy decision, contractual safeguards, or another lawful transfer mechanism.

10. Retention and deletion

  • On-device data remains until you delete records in Hourfolio, reset relevant settings, or delete the app.
  • iCloud data remains in your private CloudKit database until removed through Hourfolio, iCloud controls, or account/device management. Synced deletions may take time to propagate and backups may persist for a limited period.
  • Firebase Crashlytics generally retains crash reports and associated identifiers for 90 days before deletion begins.
  • Firebase installation identifiers used for Remote Config remain until deletion is requested; removal from live and backup systems may take additional time.
  • Support correspondence is normally retained for up to 24 months after the last interaction, or longer where needed for an unresolved issue, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or a legal claim.

11. Your choices and rights

You can manage Notifications in iOS Settings, control iCloud access in Apple account settings, delete individual Hourfolio records, and delete the app. Contact support@klymov.dev for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal requests where applicable. Because Hourfolio has no account and Firebase uses random identifiers, we may need information from your device to locate a provider record.

Depending on where you live, you may complain to a competent supervisory authority. We do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

12. Children

Hourfolio is a general-audience productivity utility and is not directed to children under 13. A minor who cannot legally agree to these terms should use the app only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

13. Security

We minimize transmitted data, use platform security and permissions, use encrypted connections supplied by Apple and Firebase, and restrict dashboard access. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

14. Changes

We may update this policy when the app, providers, or law changes. We will update the date above and provide appropriate notice for material changes. The current version is available in Hourfolio Settings and at the public Privacy Policy URL listed in the App Store.
